Welcome to Terry's Equine Foundation

Our mission is to provide a safe, responsible alternative pathway for horses whose owners can no longer care for them. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization in New Hampshire, we work collaboratively with owners to rehome horses while prioritizing their health, training, and long-term wellbeing. By intervening before horses enter the auction pipeline, we aim to reduce risk, preserve equine welfare, and ensure every horse has the opportunity to find a safe, stable, and permanent home.

Horse ownership can be deeply rewarding—but it can also become overwhelming when circumstances change or care becomes difficult to provide. We support owners through training, medical assistance, and rehoming services, and offer safe surrender as a last resort so every horse receives appropriate care and a secure future. In addition to helping horses in need, we strengthen the equine community through donor-supported education and training in rehabilitation, medical care, nutrition, and horsemanship, while supporting a skilled and engaged workforce within the industry.
